We spend the day at Baeksajang Beach (백사장해수욕장) during the annual shrimp festival. We sample all the various ways of preparing the shrimp and some other local delicacies.
Baksajang Beach is one of the major sources of jumbo shrimp in Korea, and during autumn the shrimp production peaks. It is at this time when the shrimp festival takes place, drawing large crowds.
Apart from the various food stalls, restaurants and coffee shops, you can camp or relax on the beach.
How to Get There
Take an inter-city bus to Taean Bus Terminal (태안) , from Taean take a local bus to Baeksajang Beach (백사장해수욕장).
